El Camino High School, a South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD) school, opened its high-performance, two-story science center in April 2014.

Thanks to the Measure J Bond Program, the school was able to achieve its goal of consolidating its hard science programs, like biology and chemistry, into a 10,500 sf state-of-the-art lab facility. El Camino partnered with Project Frog to innovatively approach its unique site constraints, resulting in a two-story building with an exterior breezeway. The 1,400 sf lab layouts and adjacent prep rooms were co-developed with El Camino’s science teachers and will serve as a prototype for future science facilities across numerous SSFUSD campuses.

El Camino’s science teachers and Project Frog collaborated to co-develop a new science standard to be replicated across SSFUSD campuses.

“In my two years of overseeing Project Frog’s work at SSFUSD, I can say first-hand that Frog’s kit delivery and rapid building approach provides the best value across a broad spectrum of competitors.”
Bond Director
