Located in the center of a South San Francisco neighborhood, Spruce Elementary is the home to nearly 700 students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

In 2010, voters passed the $162M Measure J Bond in order to renovate and replace school facilities. Spruce Elementary School, was one of the three campuses to receive new facilities over the summer months in 2014. Project Frog provided 12,000 sf of high performance 1-story structures including new kindergarten classrooms and general purpose classroom buildings, and a library / media center.  The library, positioned at the entry of the campus for more effective public use, also flexes as a computer center to accommodate the district’s new technology roll out and tech-education programs. While the campus will be anchored by several signature buildings, the kindergarten teacher is most excited her new 1,440 sf kindergarten classroom, complete with:
