In 2010, voters passed the $162M Measure J Bond in order to renovate and replace school facilities. Spruce Elementary School, was one of the three campuses to receive new facilities over the summer months in 2014. Project Frog provided 12,000 sf of high performance 1-story structures including new kindergarten classrooms and general purpose classroom buildings, and a library / media center. The library, positioned at the entry of the campus for more effective public use, also flexes as a computer center to accommodate the district’s new technology roll out and tech-education programs.
